Outage at the Tyson Plant in Emporia

Over the weekend of March 14 & 15, 2020 Decker Electric performed an outage at the Tyson Foods plant in Emporia to replace 15 sections of back to back MCC (motor control center) along with a new main section. We had 17 electricians on site for the around the clock outage that started on Friday night at 9PM when the plant had finished production for the evening. Our target was to have all of the old gear torn out by mid-morning Saturday, and then start to reassemble the new gear, and have it operational by 6 am on Monday morning. Crew worked 12 hour shifts to be able to complete this work. Special thanks to general foreman Ron Jackson, and foremen Brent Combs, and Chris Martin for completing this outage on time with safety being the focus for the weekend.
