ABC Transportation contracted with the Proterra (now Camber) and Decker Electric team to provide a design build solution for their electric bus transportation facility. The project included a 1.44 MW charging station along with twenty dual dispensers to give the customer the ability to charge forty buses simultaneously. The Decker team had to work closely with PG&E to ensure that they could supply the necessary electrical capacity. In addition, the 1.44 MW charging unit was the first unit produced by Power Electronics that could handle the smart charging load. Significant coordination was required among the project team to deliver this project on time, prior to bus delivery.
