Seaton Construction Group is an affiliated construction management company operating as a general contractor. This position will be involved with both of our businesses in our shared-services group. Position Summary
The Facilities Assistant plays a key role in supporting our field and warehouse operations. This position involves delivering materials and tools to job sites, assisting with general maintenance and upkeep of our facilities, and receiving and organizing incoming shipments.
Essential Duties
Jobsite Deliveries:
- Load, transport, and deliver electrical materials, tools, and equipment to job sites throughout the area.
- Ensure timely and accurate deliveries to support project schedules.
- Maintain delivery logs and communicate with field teams regarding delivery status.
Facilities Management Support:
- Assist with upkeep of the warehouse, office, and yard areas.
- Perform light maintenance tasks such as organizing inventory, minor repairs, and general cleaning.
- Support the Facilities Manager with special projects and seasonal tasks.
Receiving & Inventory:
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments of supplies and equipment.
- Verify packing slips and report discrepancies.
- Organize and store materials in designated areas, ensuring easy access for field crews.
Skills and Knowledge Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience in a construction, warehouse, or facilities role preferred.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 50 lbs).
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (company vehicle provided for deliveries).
- Ability to pass a drug screening.
- Familiarity with basic tools and warehouse equipment (forklift experience a plus).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
