Our team worked with Academic Partnerships in Dallas, TX on a recent security and access controls projects. Academic Partnership collaborates with colleges and universities with their online degree programs. They relocated their office within the Plaza of the Americas North Tower to better accommodate employees and visitors. Decker Electric assisted with the design and layout of the system. The project team installed keypads, 20 access control points, 12 cameras, and a server in the suite located on the 9th floor.
Coordination with other subcontractors and working only during regular business hours created some level of challenge. The building itself has extensive security and all staff, employees, and patrons are required to check in and be recorded as they enter and exit the building.
