Marketing Coordinator


Position Summary/Objective

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to help execute all aspects of our marketing strategy and support the business development team. This position will manage our social media, internal newsletter, company store, branding initiatives and assist with proposal creation. The Marketing Coordinator will answer to the Executive Director of Business Development.

Essential Duties

  • Develops, plans, and implements marketing strategies and marketing campaigns
  • Makes recommendations to senior leadership to enhance marketing efforts and brand awareness
  • Manages marketing and communication best practices, procedures and protocols
  • Acts as a Brand Ambassador internally and externally
  • Builds relationships with internal customers
  • Executes content development across the business
  • Manages relationships with external agencies as needed to support operational initiatives
  • Assists with the monthly newsletter
  • Creates and executes content for all social media platforms
  • Writes and coordinates company award submissions
  • Partners with HR on social media efforts related to recruiting and sourcing of talent
  • Analyzes and monitors marketing data to identify areas for improvement and enhancement
  • Responsible for all written communications, both internally and externally
  • Assist with marketing department special projects, research, and other administrative duties as needed
  • Manages the company store, promotional items and inventory
  • Organizes and manages company events and trade shows
  • Updates and maintains company websites

Education and Experience Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience in marketing and communications position
  • Strong understanding of social media outlets and platforms; such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn
  • Capability to basic website modifications and updates (WordPress)
  • Proficient in Adobe Design (Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Experience with MailChimp and Hootsuite recommended but not required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or another related field is a plus, but not required

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
  • Regular, predictable attendance is required
  • Ability to pass a basic background check and drug test is required
  • Occasional travel (less than 10%)
